logo This hidden gem, up the Rio Cuale from Paso Ancho, should not be missed. Javier, your host, provides wonderful food at very reasonable prices.
The location is terrific, you sit overlooking the Rio Cuale, quiet during the week, but with lots of picnicking locals on the weekends. It's seldom crowded weekdays and even on weekends, Javier can put extra tables down on the riverbank.
Not very easy to get to without your own transport, the last bus stop is 1K downstream - not a bad hike. You can rent horses in Paso Ancho as an option.
